What Does Hurricane Season Mean for Erie, PA?
6/15/2021 (Permalink)
We have just entered Hurricane Season, which CNN reports begins on June 1st and extends till November 30th annually. There are not any Hurricanes popping up in Lake Erie any time soon, so why should we care? You would be surprised at the impact a massive hurricane could have on our area!
Though we are not going to need to board up our windows or evacuate the area, we still feel the aftermath of these storms in Erie. In 2008, Hurricane Ike caused 180,000 people to lose power in Pennsylvania. Hurricane Sandy in 2012 reportedly caused 14 deaths in Pennsylvania as well. These storms do impact our local community.
When these national weather disasters occur, SERVPRO of West Erie County is Here to Help. We sometimes travel to the front lines, traveling to the coastline to help those communities effected most. However, we are also here for our local community when a disaster strikes at home. Whether Hurricanes bring flooding, fallen trees, or anything in between, we will handle it.
Our Water Restoration Process combined with our experience and scientific approach to water restoration enable us to properly dry and restore your property the right wat. Our attention to detail ensures that the drying process goes on without issue, and your home or business will be stabilized before you know it.
